With Respect we would like to provide you with some house keeping rules.

No Fires

Due to the severely dry conditions and the current fire ban in place throughout the Robinson Huron territory and Ontario, it is crucial that we prioritize safety and prevent any accidental fires. This means strictly prohibiting open fires, including campfires, bonfires, or any other activities that involve flames or burning materials. This rule aims to minimize the risk of starting a fire and causing harm to the environment, property, and everyone attending the family reunion.

No Fireworks

In line with the fire ban and the need to prevent any potential fire hazards, the use of fireworks is strictly prohibited. Fireworks can pose a significant risk in dry conditions, as they can easily ignite and spread fires over a wide area. By refraining from using fireworks, we prioritize the safety of all attendees and minimize the risk of starting an uncontrolled fire. We can still enjoy other forms of entertainment and celebration that do not pose a fire risk.

Pets

We all love our four-legged family members; however, we also know that they all might not love one another. Therefore, if you absolutely must bring your loved four-legged family member they are required to always be on a leash under your care.

Toilets

To maintain cleanliness and hygiene, outdoor toilets will be provided during the reunion. We kindly ask all family members to keep these facilities clean after use. By doing so, we can ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience for everyone.

Cigarettes

We kindly request that smokers be mindful of the dry conditions and potential fire risks. Please ensure that you fully extinguish cigarette butts and dispose of them in an enclosed fireproof container. This precautionary measure helps prevent accidental fires and demonstrates respect for the environment and the property where the reunion is being held.

Garbage

In an effort to keep the reunion grounds clean and free from litter, garbage cans will be provided. We kindly ask all family members to do their part by properly disposing of their garbage in the designated bins. By keeping the land free of waste, we create a pleasant and inviting atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

Parking

Due to limited parking space on the grounds, we have arranged for additional parking at the Rabbit Island Centre. We encourage family members to utilize this space and carpool whenever possible to reduce parking congestion. If feasible, finding parking at a family member’s residence for the duration of the reunion can also help alleviate parking challenges.

Photography and Social Media

Out of respect for individuals’ privacy levels, we kindly request that you obtain consent from those in your photos before posting them on social media or sharing them publicly. Respecting people’s privacy ensures that everyone feels comfortable and included during the reunion, and it allows individuals to maintain control over their own personal information.

These rules and guidelines aim to create a safe, enjoyable, and respectful environment for all family members attending the reunion, while also addressing specific concerns related to the fire ban and the dry conditions in the Robinson Huron territory and the province.
